Adjusting the Incline of Bicycle Stairs
In practice, many bicycle stairs prove to be very steep. Even installing the VeloComfort® system does not always provide sufficient support. Depending on the available space at the bottom of the stairs, the incline of a steep stair can be flattened. The angle of the stainless steel bicycle gutter, VeloComfort® Gutterbrush, or VeloComfort® Conveyorbelt is then adjusted using special supports mounted on the stairs.
For downward bicycle transport, the rolling level of the bike is gradually raised relative to the cyclist.
For upward bicycle transport, the bike starts at the maximum height difference between bike and cyclist*, and this difference decreases as the bike is guided further upward.
*) The maximum height difference depends on the person’s height; the shorter the person, the smaller the maximum manageable height difference. Taking shorter users into account, we recommend a maximum height difference of 0.5 meters.
